Thibault Klidje, a 24-year-old centre-forward and Hibernian's club-record signing, has joined Danish club Randers on loan for the rest of the season. He arrived from Luzern in the summer for a fee greater than £1m. The Togolese international made a limited impact in the first half of the campaign, and manager David Gray had been reluctant to start him consistently. David Gray stated that the move provides Klidje with an opportunity to get game time at a competitive level, which will be beneficial for him. Gray also said that he looks forward to Klidje's return for pre-season.
Hibs sporting director Malky Mackay described the move as being appropriate for the player in the short term. Mackay also noted that he will maintain constant contact with Klidje during the loan and expects him to be back at Easter Road in July. Klidje's contract with the club is valid until June 2028. In the Scottish Premiership this season, Klidje made 19 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist. He has 22 caps and 2 goals for the Togo national team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.20m.
