VfB Stuttgart have received an offer for Jamie Leweling from AS Roma, which consists of a €5 million loan with a €35 million obligation to buy. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Stuttgart has rejected this initial approach. Inter Milan has also shown interest in the 25-year-old German international winger, along with English clubs Everton and Liverpool. Roma is offering the player a five-year contract.
Stuttgart is not opposed to a sale as the club needs to generate transfer revenue, but Roma will need to increase its offer to complete a transfer. The winger, who has 6 caps and 1 goal for Germany, is under contract at Stuttgart until 2029. Throughout mid-2026, VfB Stuttgart's asking price was reported to be over €50 million, and a €40 million offer from AFC Bournemouth was reportedly rejected in January 2026. Leweling, who has a current Transfermarkt market value of €40.00m, joined Stuttgart in July 2024 for a fee of €5 million.
