Dundee's 22-year-old Scottish defender Luke Graham's preference was to play in the Championship. Portsmouth, Derby County, Norwich City, Stoke City, Lincoln City, Charlton Athletic, and Preston North End were all reported to have an interest, while interest from Schalke was also noted. According to Alan Nixon, Stoke are now attempting to sign the £1.5m-rated player, with talks ongoing as they attempt to outbid Lincoln and Glasgow Rangers. The report from Nixon suggests Stoke could offer as much as £1.5 million. Rangers are also trying to prepare an offer for the defender, who is believed to be interested in a move to England.
Portsmouth were also very involved in January, when they reportedly had a bid rejected. Graham, who joined Dundee in July 2024, has been capped 8 times for the Scotland U21 team, scoring one goal, and has a current market value of €2.00m according to Transfermarkt. In February 2026, reports claimed Dundee was demanding significantly more than £2 million for the player, and during the January 2026 transfer window, Portsmouth reportedly had multiple bids rejected, including offers for £1 million and over £1.5 million.
