Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, 39, who is leaving Monterrey after reportedly playing often and performing well, has been proposed to Milan. This market rumor comes from Fabrizio Romano, who stated on his YouTube channel that the defender desires a new experience and does not plan to retire. According to Romano, Ramos maintains a slim hope of making the World Cup and is viewed as an opportunity for a team needing an extra leader for an immediate move in January, not June. Romano also noted that the Italian league would be very appealing to Ramos.
Romano also stated that Ramos was offered to Inter two years ago before joining Sevilla, but the club was not interested then. His agents are now reportedly offering him to several clubs, with Milan being among them as they search for a new defender for the second half of the season. His contract with Monterrey is set to expire on December 31, 2025. Ramos, who has 180 caps and 23 goals for Spain, joined the Mexican club in February 2025 and has made 15 appearances, scoring 2 goals, in the current Liga MX Apertura season. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.00m.
