Samson Tijani joins Podbrezová on loan

Samson Tijani, a 24-year-old Nigerian midfielder, has been acquired by Slovak football club FK Železiarne Podbrezová on a one-year loan from Czech second division club FK Dukla Praha. The agreement also includes an option for a two-year transfer. The deal was announced on Saturday by the Niké liga participant from Horehronie.

Tijani has 3 caps for the Nigerian national team and previously played for RB Salzburg, which he joined at the age of 18. The club's general manager, Miroslav Poliaček, stated for the club's website that Tijani is a creative, dynamic central player representing a different profile from what the team currently has. Poliaček also stated that Tijani is expected to bring a needed impulse and quality to the midfield. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €375k.
