Raheem Sterling, a 31-year-old English winger, is considered likely to leave Chelsea. The final days of the winter transfer window could be decisive for his future. According to Fabrizio Romano, both Roma and Napoli have taken and are continuing to take steps to acquire the attacker in Italy. Chelsea is eager to remove at least a portion of his significant salary. Sterling has been out of the squad at the club, and despite numerous denials, the possibility of an exit from Chelsea could occur as a last-minute option.
Sterling's contract with Chelsea, which he joined in July 2022, expires in June 2027. The winger has 82 caps and 20 goals for England and a current Transfermarkt market value of €5.00m. His transfer from Manchester City to Chelsea was for a reported €56.2 million, while in the summer of 2025, Chelsea's asking price was widely reported to be around £20 million (approx. €23 million).
