Roma and Benfica are interested in signing Stuttgart's German-French central defender, Julian Chabot. The clubs have initiated contact with the 27-year-old and made inquiries with his representatives. Chabot also changed his agency in November, a move often associated with a future transfer.
A transfer in the current winter window is considered not possible, as Stuttgart does not want to release the defender mid-season. However, a summer transfer may be possible, with the German club having set an asking price of €20 million for an end-of-season negotiation. Chabot transferred from Koln to Stuttgart in May 2024 for a reported fee of €4 million and has a contract that runs until 2028. The former Germany U21 international has made 14 appearances in the Bundesliga this season and has a current market value of €15.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
