Real Betis is considering Arnaud Kalimuendo, a 24-year-old French forward, to strengthen its forward line before the end of the transfer window. Kalimuendo is on a shortlist of candidates that also includes Fabio Silva and Troy Parrot. Nottingham is requesting a transfer fee of more than 20 million euros, which is a similar amount to what is being asked for the other forwards being considered. Real Betis is exploring a loan with an option to buy because the club is currently unable to afford a permanent transfer at that price. A permanent transfer would only be possible if they make a significant sale, and Abde or Natan have been mentioned as potential departures.
It is reported that Kalimuendo is seeking a new club to get more playing time, and other teams are interested in him. Real Betis's participation in the Champions League is viewed as an attractive element for the loan deal the club is pursuing. Kalimuendo joined Nottingham Forest in August 2025 and has a contract that is valid until 2030. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €25.00m. He has also been capped four times for the France U23 national team, for which he has scored two goals. Olympique Lyonnais and Eintracht Frankfurt are other clubs that have recently been linked with the player.
