RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt have contacted the Dirección Deportiva of Real Betis to inquire about the conditions for a potential departure of Spanish central midfielder Sergi Altimira, 24, late in the transfer window. There had been previous interest from the Bundesliga in the summer. These inquiries have not yet resulted in formal proposals. A departure could free up salary space for Betis to make a new signing.
Sergi Altimira's contract runs until June 2029. He has made 14 appearances in LaLiga this season, with one goal and one assist. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €20.00m. In January 2026, Real Betis's valuation was reported at €20-25 million, which followed a rejected offer from Eintracht Frankfurt in summer 2025 that was a loan with an €18.5 million mandatory purchase option plus €4 million in variables. The player joined Real Betis in August 2023 from Getafe for a fee of €1.5 million.
