Friel mentioned that Bowie, who has a contract with Hibs for another two-and-a-half years, seems to have the potential for a more significant career and is now scoring again after a period of poorer performance that followed a strong start to the season. While Friel believes the player is talented, Scottish, and somewhat affordable, he also expressed a personal opinion that more time at Hibs would be beneficial and stated he does not see a transfer happening during the current window. In addition to the interest from Rangers, Celtic and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been linked with the centre-forward, who has 11 caps and 3 goals for Scotland's U21 team. Bowie's current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.70m; he joined Hibernian from Fulham U21 in August 2024 for a fee of €700,000.
