Rangers are considering 24-year-old right-back Ryan Alebiosu as a potential replacement for the departing James Tavernier. The Nigeria international could be available at a discount this summer because his club, Blackburn Rovers, is facing the prospect of relegation. Alebiosu is regarded as an athletic player who is exceptional going forward and good at crossing, which would make him a good fit in Danny Rohl’s system.
It is also mentioned that the presence of his international teammate Emmanuel Fernandez could help him adapt, and it is reported that Alebiosu would be open to joining if the centre-back can convince him. Alebiosu joined Blackburn Rovers in July 2025, with his current contract running until June 2028. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.20m. He has previously attracted interest from clubs such as Genoa, VfL Wolfsburg and Everton.
