Brazilian Centre-Forward Rafael Navarro, who is 26, confirmed that Fluminense attempted to sign him recently, during the mid-year transfer window of the previous year. He also revealed that the Colorado Rapids opted not to release him during the season. A conversation took place at the beginning of this year, but it did not progress. Navarro stated that there was contact and interest. He said he learned about the interest from Fluminense and the proposal that was made to Colorado.
Navarro thinks that the club did not want to release him at that point in the season because of the playoff contention. He added that he is happy about the interest from a large club in Brazil, as it indicates that his work is being done well there. Navarro became a member of the Colorado Rapids in January 2025, and his contract is set to expire on 31/12/2027. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, is currently €5.00m.
