Queens Park Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday's Northern Ireland international goalkeeper, Pierce Charles, this summer. According to Football League World, Cardiff City is also interested in the 20-year-old. Charles has also attracted interest from Celtic.
His potential transfer comes after Sheffield Wednesday's relegation to League One, and with only 12 months remaining on his contract, he could be available for a reduced fee, particularly given his club's difficult financial situation. The goalkeeper, who has 10 caps for Northern Ireland, joined the club in July 2024 and has a current market value of €500k, according to Transfermarkt. In the summer of 2025, Sheffield Wednesday reportedly rejected bids of over £1 million from both Rangers and West Ham United. It was reported in April 2026 that the club would require a significant six-figure fee plus add-ons for his sale.
