PSV unwilling to sell Ryan Flamingo despite VfL Wolfsburg interest

The Dutch club does not want to cooperate with a possible transfer for the defender this winter.

Ryan Flamingo, a 23-year-old Dutch and Surinamese centre-back, is attracting interest from VfL Wolfsburg. PSV does not want to cooperate with a possible departure of Ryan Flamingo, even if a foreign club makes a concrete offer in the final days of the transfer window. PSV sees Flamingo as a strategic player who cannot just leave, especially not at the end of a transfer period.

Flamingo has a contract with PSV until the summer of 2029. It is stated that this will normally not result in a deal this winter because PSV does not want to lose Flamingo and in principle does not need to sell anyone. Clubs from England and France are also following Flamingo. The defender joined PSV in July 2024 and has 17 caps for the Netherlands U21 team. In the current Eredivisie season, he has made 20 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist, and his Transfermarkt market value is €17.00m.
