In the final days of the transfer window, PSV unsuccessfully attempted to sign 27-year-old Czech Republic international Ladislav Krejčí from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The club, which was seeking additional defensive reinforcements, approached Wolves for the centre-back, but the effort was rejected. Krejčí's name had previously been mentioned in connection with the Eindhoven club in mid-August.
He joined Wolves in July 2026 and signed a contract until 2030. Krejčí has 30 caps and 6 goals for his country, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is €22.00m. During the transfer window, several English clubs, including Leeds United, Crystal Palace, and Brentford, were also linked with him.
