Newcastle United is considering Kyriani Sabbe as one of the options to replace Kieran Trippier, who has officially announced his departure. The Premier League club is seeking new players, and it is known that the club is scouting the Belgian market for players with a good price-to-quality ratio, for which Sabbe is seen as a suitable candidate.
The 21-year-old Belgian right-back, who joined his current club in January 2023, has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 Jupiler Pro League matches this season. The Belgium U21 international is under contract until mid-2028 and has an estimated market value of about eight million euros, but that amount is unlikely to be sufficient to sign him from Jan Breydel. Other clubs, including Real Madrid and Brentford, have also been linked with the player. Zakaria El Ouahdi of KRC Genk is another name being monitored by Newcastle.
