Parma is managing the potential sale of Zion Suzuki, a 23-year-old Japanese-American goalkeeper, and is not rushing the process, intending to wait for the most advantageous financial offer over the summer. Suzuki, who has 28 caps for Japan, feels ready for a more advanced stage in his career, but his destination remains undecided. Several Premier League clubs have previously been linked with the player, and Leeds has shown interest. According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle has more recently made an inquiry, officially requesting information on the goalkeeper's status.

The situation involves caution from all parties, as Parma will consider the most profitable proposal while the player takes time to choose the best sporting project for his future. Recent reports from July 2026 state Leeds is preparing a £25.8m offer, which is above Parma's widely reported asking price of €30M plus bonuses. Suzuki joined Parma from Sint-Truiden in July 2024 for a reported €7.5 million. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €20.00m.
