Serbian international Nemanja Matic, who currently plays for Sassuolo earning 2 million euros net, has been proposed to Juventus as a low-cost and experienced midfield option. The proposal for the player, who will turn 38 in August and has 48 caps for his country, was reportedly made yesterday by his agent, Vlado Lemic, during a meeting with Juventus executives that also concerned goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Juventus is considering the opportunity to increase the experience in their squad, though it is acknowledged his playing time would need to be managed. A transfer to the Turin club was close to being completed for Matic ten years ago when he was a player at Chelsea. The defensive midfielder joined Sassuolo in August 2025, and his contract runs until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently €1.60m.
