Napoli intends to sell 32-year-old Romelu Lukaku in the summer because he has not met expectations and has had injury problems. The Belgian striker joined the club in August 2024 and has a contract that runs until June 2027. It is reported that he has played in only seven official matches for a total of 74 minutes this season, which has led to questions about his performance. It is said that Napoli's management has set an asking price of around 10 million Euros.

There are also allegations of discomfort within the club concerning the player's physical condition and his off-field behavior. The team will reportedly approve a transfer if a suitable offer is made, in order to maintain squad balance. Milan is named as the club most seriously interested, and it is also said that teams from France and Beşiktaş are interested. Lukaku moved to Napoli from Chelsea in August 2024 for a transfer fee reported to be €30 million. His asking price was reportedly between €15 million and €20 million in January and February 2026.
