SV Werder Bremen's 18-year-old centre-back, Abdoul Karim Coulibaly, has attracted attention for his rapid development. Manchester United is one of several top clubs monitoring him. It is reported that FC Chelsea has the most definite interest, and Real Madrid, Newcastle United, SSC Neapel, and Paris St. Germain also have an interest in Coulibaly.

A summer transfer is considered fully planned for the German U21 international, who has made 22 appearances and scored one goal in the Bundesliga this season. Werder Bremen is said to be demanding a fee of up to 50 million euros. Coulibaly's contract with the club runs until June 2029, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €22.00m. During the winter 2026 transfer window, the club reportedly rejected multiple offers, including one for €20 million and another that was significantly higher.
