Liverpool under Arne Slot had shown interest in PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joey Veerman, a 27-year-old Dutch international, but it is now considered probable that the club will not pursue him following the coach's recent dismissal. The player is valued between 25 and 30 million euros. Inter is also monitoring the player and he is considered a potential option for the club should another midfielder, Frattesi, depart.
Veerman, who has been with PSV for four years, may be looking for an opportunity to play outside of the Netherlands. His contract with PSV runs until June 2028. In the 2025/2026 Eredivisie season, he recorded 8 goals and 14 assists in 30 appearances, and has earned 16 caps for the Netherlands, scoring once. Reports in the spring of 2026 mentioned a release clause of around €20 million.
