Pete O’Rourke reported that Leicester City and Charlton Athletic are both interested in signing St. Mirren striker Mikael Mandron. The 31-year-old French and Scottish forward has gained attention following a season in the Scottish Premier League where he achieved 23 goal involvements, which included 13 goals and 10 assists. A transfer would represent a return to the EFL for Mandron, whose last club was Crewe Alexandra.
The Foxes are reportedly considering Mandron an affordable option as they attempt to return to the second division, while Nathan Jones’ Addicks are also monitoring the striker. It is possible that St. Mirren could lose several players, including Mandron, after manager Stephen Robinson's departure to Aberdeen. The striker joined the club in July 2023, has a contract until May 2026, and his current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €100k.
