Leeds United has targeted Ousmane Diomandé for the summer transfer window to improve its defence. The English club has a high appreciation for the 22-year-old Ivorian's profile and wants to proceed quickly with the matter. The management of Leeds believes he is a recruit who can provide stability to their defence. The Portuguese club requires a minimum of €50 million to consider the player's departure; his market value is estimated to be €42 million. Leeds remains hopeful despite the financial obstacle.

It is reported that Diomandé would favour a move to the Premier League if he were to leave Lisbon, a factor that could facilitate discussions. Diomandé joined his current club in January 2023 and has 14 caps for the Ivory Coast. He is under contract with Sporting until June 2030, and his annual salary is €3,460,000. He has made 17 appearances in Liga Portugal this season and has provided one assist. It is noted that other clubs, such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, could also attempt to sign him.
