Following his fine performance for Norway at the 2026 World Cup, 28-year-old Norwegian defensive midfielder Patrick Berg has been linked with moves to both Leeds United and Everton, although he could still remain at his current club, Bodø / Glimt. Berg's national team manager, Ståle Solbakken, is reportedly not worried about whether the player leaves, believing he has plenty of options and does not need to rush a decision. Solbakken stated that Berg can play anywhere and that the prospect of competing in the Champions League again with Bodo/Glimt is an appealing one.
Berg, who has 49 caps for Norway, joined Bodo/Glimt in August 2022 and his contract is valid until July 2028. In the 2025/2026 Eliteserien season, he has scored 2 goals in 15 appearances. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €12.00m.
