Niklas Dorsch, a 28-year-old German defensive midfielder from Heidenheim, is a transfer option for Lech Poznań, which is seeking a new midfielder. The club is reportedly exploring other possibilities after their attempt to sign Tamara Svetlin from Korona Kielce encountered difficulties, as Korona's asking price was significantly higher. Dorsch is considered a cheaper alternative. The player is available from the recently relegated Bundesliga club and is said to have a release clause of 1.5 million euros.
A move to Poland could be interesting for the midfielder because his wife is Polish. However, Lech Poznań is not the only interested club. Another relegated Bundesliga side, VfL Wolfsburg, and teams from Major League Soccer are also reportedly interested in signing the former Augsburg player. In the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season, Dorsch made 32 appearances and provided one assist. His contract is valid until June 2028. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, is currently €2.50m. He has 13 caps for the Germany U21 national team, for which he has scored one goal.
