Hoffenheim plans to sell 23-year-old Nigerian striker Gift Orban this summer, as he is not in the club's plans for the coming season after spending the previous campaign on loan at Hellas Verona. Two clubs are interested in Orban: Serie A club Lecce, and Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, which is set to compete in Turkey's top division next season. The German club is seeking to receive approximately five million euros for his transfer.
Hoffenheim had previously paid nine million euros to sign Orban from Olympique Lyon in early 2025. While on loan at Hellas Verona, a team that was relegated to Serie B, Orban made 28 Serie A appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. His contract with Hoffenheim runs until June 30, 2029. His current market value is €7.00m, according to an estimate by Transfermarkt.
