Le Havre leads the race for Bournemouth's Romain Faivre

The French-Algerian midfielder could be set for a transfer back to France this winter.

Le Havre, FC Metz, and AJ Auxerre are all interested in signing Romain Faivre, who is owned by AFC Bournemouth and currently on loan at Al Taawoun in Saudi Arabia. The 27-year-old French-Algerian attacking midfielder could be loaned to a club in France this winter. Both Metz and Le Havre have made inquiries about him. The pursuit by Le Havre AC and AJ Auxerre is considered more advanced compared to the Messins.

Faivre, who has 8 caps for the France U21 team, is contracted to Bournemouth until June 2028 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €5.00m. In five appearances in the Saudi Pro League this season, he has scored one goal and provided one assist. Bournemouth acquired him from Lyon for a reported €15.0M in July 2023. His loan to Al Taawoun in September 2025 reportedly included a €10 million purchase option.
