According to agent information, Krasnodar approached Olympiacos a few days ago with serious intent to sign 31-year-old Portuguese winger Gelson Martins. The same source suggests the Russian club was prepared to pay between 4 and 5 million euros for the winger. Olympiacos had a negative initial reaction to the approach and is reportedly unwilling to sell the player at this time, as he is considered their only regular available winger due to the status of other players in that position.

Olympiacos acquired Martins from Monaco in January 2024 for 3 million euros. Martins has 21 caps for Portugal, is under contract until June 2028 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.50m. In the 2025/2026 Super League 1 season, he made 21 appearances, scored 2 goals, and provided 2 assists.
