Keisuke Goto, a 21-year-old Japanese forward, has made a permanent transfer to SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga from RSC Anderlecht. Goto has been capped 4 times for Japan. He first joined Anderlecht on loan in 2024, a move that was later made permanent, and he also played for RSCA Futures. He was subsequently loaned to STVV, where he was the top scorer and main striker under coach Wouter Vrancken. During the 2025/2026 season, he scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists in 28 Jupiler Pro League appearances.

Goto had indicated on several occasions that he did not want to return to Anderlecht. His new club, Freiburg, reached the Europa League final last season. Anderlecht had initially paid a little over €1 million for the player and will receive a fee that is reported to be around €13 million. According to Transfermarkt, Goto's current market value is €10.00m. In a prior transfer window, he had been linked with multiple Premier League clubs, such as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. RSC Anderlecht issued an official statement on June 11, 2026, confirming the transfer.
