Juventus makes Pierre-Emile Højbjerg a primary objective

The Italian club has made the Olympique de Marseille player a primary objective for the winter following an assessment that the team requires midfield reinforcement.

Juventus Turin has made Pierre-Emile Højbjerg a primary objective for the winter following an assessment by new coach Luciano Spalletti that the team requires midfield reinforcement. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus has a high valuation of the 30-year-old Olympique de Marseille player for his leadership, experience, and capacity to lead from the midfield. The publication also reports that the club believes he fits their need for a more charismatic and technical presence.

The Danish international is under contract until 2028, and his coach, Roberto De Zerbi, is reportedly reluctant to let him leave. Despite this, Juventus intends to make an offer and may include one of their players in the deal. The name of Manuel Locatelli, whom De Zerbi knows from his time at Sassuolo, has been mentioned as a player who could be included in a potential deal. If a deal for Højbjerg does not succeed, the Italian club has identified Adrian Bernabé of Parma as an alternative target.

Højbjerg, who joined the French club in July 2025, has earned 91 caps and scored 11 goals for Denmark. In the current Ligue 1 season, he has made 12 appearances and scored one goal. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €20.00m.
