Tuttomercato reports on a potential swap deal involving 28-year-old Italian international Manuel Locatelli and Davide Frattesi. A possible swap deal between the two players is being discussed, with recent speculation prompted by a photo of Locatelli at a dinner with national teammates from Inter. The potential exchange is reportedly linked to manager Spalletti's preference for a deep-lying playmaker, a profile Locatelli is not considered to perfectly match. Conversely, Frattesi possesses dynamic qualities the coach is said to appreciate.

Rumors regarding this swap first emerged last autumn but were not pursued in January, as Inter reportedly did not need Locatelli at that time. The scenario could change in the summer, especially since the future of Inter's Calhanoglu is not yet certain. Frattesi had previously been linked with a possible move to Roma. Locatelli joined Juventus in July 2023 and his contract runs until June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, the midfielder has a current market value of €25.00m. He has registered one goal and two assists in 28 Serie A appearances this season. He has 35 caps for Italy. Several other clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United, have also been linked with him.
