Ipswich Town is interested in 22-year-old Swiss defender Roggerio Nyakossi. Other clubs are also reportedly monitoring the captain of the Swiss U21 national team, including Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Everton, RC Strasbourg, Olympique Lyon, and the four Bundesliga clubs of FC Augsburg, TSG Hoffenheim, VfB Stuttgart, and Werder Bremen.
Nyakossi has a contract with Leuven until 2027, but a transfer is complicated by clauses held by his former club, Olympique Marseille, from which Leuven signed him in January 2025 for €800,000. Marseille has a resale percentage clause and a priority buy-back option set at €6 million. This sum is noted to be below what Leuven would hope to receive. If Marseille activates its option, interested clubs would then have to negotiate with the French club. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.50m.
