Ipswich Town, which is preparing for its return to the Premier League, is interested in signing 19-year-old Genoa forward Jeff Ekhator, who also holds Nigerian nationality. It is reported that the club's transfer plans are continuing despite the departure of head coach Kieran McKenna. Ipswich is seeking to strengthen its attack because Ivan Azon's loan spell concluded, which resulted in the club having limited options at the striker position.
For the past two years, Ekhator has played regularly for the Serie A club, holds a contract until 2029, and recently made his senior debut for Italy, during which he provided the assist for the only goal in a win against Greece. In the 2025/2026 Serie A season, he made 30 appearances and scored 3 goals. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €18.00m, and several other clubs, including Crystal Palace and Roma, have also been linked with the striker.
