English clubs Ipswich Town and Leeds United have a strong interest in Yassir Zabiri, a 21-year-old Moroccan international attacker with two caps for his country. He is currently on loan at Racing Santander in the Spanish league from his parent club, Stade Rennais, having joined the Spanish team in July 2026. It is reported that both English clubs have sent emissaries to observe his performances. The English teams are aiming to assess his potential and capacity for development.

Zabiri's contract with Rennes is valid until the summer of 2029. Racing Santander also wishes to retain the player after his loan ends. The loan agreement does not contain a purchase option, and the Spanish club has submitted an official offer to Rennes to sign him on a permanent basis. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €20.00m. Zabiri's most recent permanent move was from Famalicão to Rennes in February 2026 for a fee that was reported to be approximately €10 million.
