Igor Paixão, a 26-year-old Brazilian winger for Olympique Marseille, addressed the recent transfer window during which he was linked to clubs in England and Italy. He stated that he did not want to leave and chose to stay to help his team. While mentioning he dreams of playing in the Premier League, he also spoke about interest from Brazil and confirmed that there have been contacts between his agents and both Flamengo and Palmeiras.
Paixão clarified that this is currently speculation, as no concrete proposal has been made. He added that he hopes it will happen at the right moment and expressed that it is his childhood and family dream to one day wear the Flamengo shirt. Paixão joined Marseille in August 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2030. He has one cap for the Brazil U23 national team.
