Hull City, a club recently promoted to the Premier League, is monitoring İstanbul Başakşehir defender Jerome Opoku. His performances for Ghana at the World Cup have generated interest. Beşiktaş and an unidentified Spanish club are also interested in Opoku. The Italian Serie A team Como has contacted the representatives of the 27-year-old player to explore a potential transfer.

According to sources close to the player, he would only consider leaving if the salary conditions of a potential move meet his expectations. Opoku has 13 caps and one goal for Ghana and is under contract with the Turkish club until June 2027. The defender joined his current club in July 2024 and made 32 appearances, providing two assists, in the 2025/2026 Süper Lig season. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €5.00m.
