Stepán Chaloupek, a 23-year-old Czech Republic international centre-back for Slavia Prague, has attracted attention from several European clubs, including Hull City and Ipswich Town in England, Roma and Inter in Italy, and Hamburg in Germany. Benfica is also reported to be interested.
The sports portal ISport claims, citing sources close to the situation, that the Portuguese club is preparing an offer of around €12 million. This figure is likely to be below Slavia Prague's asking price. Slavia's coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, has commented that he feels another season at the club would be beneficial for the player, but that it would be impossible to reject an approach from a club like Benfica. Chaloupek has six caps for his country, joined Slavia in July 2024, and is under contract until 2030. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €10.00m.
