Galatasaray has made strengthening their midfield a priority, and manager Okan Buruk has identified Atalanta's Éderson as his primary target. Éderson is a 26-year-old Brazilian with a market value of 40 million Euro. It is reported that he became the top choice after being added to the transfer list. The Italian club is not prepared to sell a regular starter before completing their Champions League matches and has indicated that transfer discussions can only begin after January 28.
It is also reported that Buruk has told the Galatasaray management that Éderson is his primary choice and that they should wait for him if necessary. The club is also considering Raphael Onyedika as a potential alternative should the pursuit of Éderson prove unsuccessful. Éderson joined Atalanta in July 2022, has a contract until June 2027, and has been capped three times by Brazil. In the current Serie A season, he has made 12 appearances. The midfielder has also been linked with several other clubs, including Atlético Madrid, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
