Foreign publications identify Galatasaray as the favorite to sign 26-year-old Ukrainian international Vitaliy Mykolenko from Everton. The left fullback's contract with the Premier League club is valid until June 30, 2026, but extended negotiations for a renewal have been unsuccessful. This could prompt Everton to sell the player in January to receive a transfer fee. While it was reported a few weeks ago that German clubs Eintracht and RB Leipzig were ready to offer Mykolenko favorable terms, the situation is described as having shifted in favor of the Turkish club.
Mykolenko, who has 51 caps for his country, joined Everton in January 2022 from Dynamo Kyiv for a fee reported to be €23.5 million. In the current Premier League season, he has made 14 appearances. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €25.00m, and it was also reported that in March 2025, Tottenham were planning a bid of approximately €35 million.
