According to Tuttomercato, Fiorentina is interested in the 27-year-old Italian Juventus defender, Federico Gatti. While searching for a new central defender, Fiorentina has shown interest in Gatti, who is currently sidelined following an operation on his meniscus. While Juventus does not consider him a player they are unwilling to sell, a potential deal is complicated by his 3 million euro annual salary. Additionally, Fiorentina does not intend to include Albert Gudmundsson in any potential swap deal; Gudmundsson is a player Juventus would be interested in acquiring.
Gatti joined Juventus in January 2022, has a contract that is valid until June 2030, and has been capped six times for Italy. In the current Serie A season, he has made 10 appearances and scored one goal. Transfermarkt lists his market value as €20.00m. AC Milan has also been linked with the defender. Reports in December 2025 suggested talks with Milan could begin at €25-30 million. It was also reported that Juventus declined a €25 million offer from Newcastle in late 2024.
