Fiorentina from Italy and Porto from Portugal are both evaluating a move for Al Hilal's 23-year-old Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo, whose future with the Saudi club is uncertain. According to reports, the Saudi club is open to a transfer as it needs to free up slots for foreign players in its main squad. A summer exit is also favored by the player's desire to return to Europe, where he played for Benfica during the 2023/24 season.
Last January, Atlético de Madrid had tried to sign the attacker, but the Saudi team halted negotiations in the final stages. Marcos Leonardo, who has a contract with Al Hilal until June 2029, scored 19 goals in 39 official matches last season. He joined the Saudi club in September 2024 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €20.00m. The forward has been capped once by the Brazil U23 national team.
