Premier League club Everton has shown interest in Alexander Sørloth, a 30-year-old Atlético de Madrid striker. Sørloth is considering whether to remain a substitute at the Spanish club or leave for more playing time. It is reported that Atlético is open to selling the Norwegian international if a good offer is made, although they would first need to find a replacement.
Sørloth has 71 caps and 26 goals for his country. In the 2025/2026 LaLiga season, he scored 13 goals in 35 appearances. Besides Everton, several other clubs are linked with the player, whose contract runs until June 2028. Juventus considers him an ideal substitute for Vlahovic, and Milan was also associated with him months ago. Fenerbahçe from Turkey, Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia, and Barcelona are also reportedly interested, with Barcelona being considered a more remote option. Sørloth has a current Transfermarkt market value of €18.00m. He joined Atlético from Villarreal in August 2024 for a reported fee of €32 million. Reports from June 2026 suggested that Juventus was considering a deal valued at €25-€30 million, while in April 2026, Atlético's asking price was cited to be as high as €40-€45 million.
