Everton and West Ham are interested in signing 22-year-old Netherlands youth international Rav van den Berg from Bundesliga club FC Köln. Serie A club Atalanta is also interested in the defender. While FC Köln would prefer to keep van den Berg for at least another season to increase his market value, the club is open to a sale if bids of around €15-20 million are made.

Everton's manager, David Moyes, is seeking a right-footed centre-back to be a long-term partner for Jarrad Branthwaite. Both Premier League clubs have the financial capacity to meet the asking price, though Atalanta could use the prospect of European football in their approach. Van den Berg's prior experience in English football with Middlesbrough is considered an advantage for the English clubs interested in him. The defender, who has 11 caps and one goal for Netherlands U21, joined Koln in August 2025 and has a contract until 2030, with a current Transfermarkt market value of €7.00m.
