Bundesliga newcomers SV Elversberg made a bid of around 2.7 million euros for 21-year-old Belgian centre-back Jorne Spileers, but Club Brugge rejected the offer. This decision was made despite Spileers being expected to become the fourth-choice defender once another player is fit again. The player had wanted the transfer and, similar to teammate Romeo Vermant, is reportedly unhappy with the situation.
Spileers has 19 caps for the Belgium U21 national team, and his contract with Club Brugge is valid until June 2028. His market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €3.00m. In November 2025, reports suggested Club Brugge was seeking a fee between €8-12 million, while a price of €3-5 million was also mentioned.
