Eintracht Frankfurt has a serious interest in Mihajlo Cvetkovic, a 19-year-old Serbian striker from Anderlecht. This interest presents a challenge for new sporting director Antoine Sibierski, who wants to keep the player as an important part of the team. The German club had a €10 million offer rejected in January. It is reported that they are now prepared to bid €12 million for the striker. Eintracht Frankfurt views him as a potential replacement for Michy Batshuayi. It is thought that Anderlecht will reject the bid again. Reports from May 2026 stated that the club wants a minimum of €15 million.
Cvetkovic has a contract until June 2029 and joined Anderlecht from Čukarički in July 2025 for a fee between approximately €3.2 million and €4 million. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €6.00m. SC Freiburg has also been linked with the player. Anderlecht can offer Cvetkovic Europa League football, while Frankfurt will not play in Europe next season after finishing eighth in the Bundesliga. Cvetkovic has scored 11 goals in 13 appearances for Serbia's U19 team and is currently focused on the U19 European Championship, in which he will play with Serbia in a few weeks.
