Coventry City interested in Slavia captain Tomáš Holeš

The Czech Republic international reportedly received an offer for a transfer from an English club during the summer.

Tomáš Holeš is a 33-year-old Czech Republic centre-back and the captain of Slavia. According to Slavia coach Jindřich Trpišovský, Holeš received one offer from an English club during the summer, with the interest stemming from his performances in European competitions. Trpišovský stated that Holeš spoke directly with the interested team's coach, who called him after noticing his performance in a match against Tottenham. Trpišovský added that even though Slavia lost 3-0, Holeš's play against Mohammed Kudus was seen. The manager who called was Frank Lampard of Coventry City, a newcomer to the English top flight.

Holeš has been with SK Slavia Prague since July 2019, and his contract is set to expire in June 2028. He has 43 caps and 2 goals for Czechia. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.00m.
