Eintracht Frankfurt defender Aurèle Amenda is reportedly a target for Celtic in the January transfer window. The 22-year-old Swiss international has four caps for his country and also holds Cameroonian citizenship. He joined Frankfurt from BSC Young Boys two years ago for £8 million. It is said that he is keen on a move to improve his chances of making the Swiss squad for the World Cup in North America. He has made eight league appearances this season, starting in three, and has been unable to displace Robin Koch and Nnamdi Collins. His contract with the German club runs until June 2029.
Celtic is one of several clubs interested, and Mainz, Lorient, Torino, Nice, and Valencia have also been noted as being interested in the defender. In August 2025, a move to Torino was linked with fees of approximately €9-11 million. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €6.00m.
