Celtic have been linked with Lecce's 22-year-old Italian left-back, Antonino Gallo, who has made 22 appearances and provided one assist in Serie A this season. According to Pete O’Rourke, Celtic and Sunderland are among a number of clubs considering a move for the defender. Reports suggest that despite having current options at left-back, Celtic are exploring bringing in another player for the position before the window closes.
Gallo's contract is set to expire this summer, and although it includes an extension option, his situation could allow for a pre-contract agreement for a free transfer or a potential move for a small fee in January if Lecce are willing to negotiate. Gallo has been with Lecce since July 2019 and has been capped once by the Italy U21 team. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
