Celtic is seeking a new goalkeeper after Kasper Schmeichel, 39, sustained a severe shoulder injury requiring two surgeries, which is expected to sideline him for ten to twelve months. Martin Dúbravka, a 37-year-old Slovakian goalkeeper from Burnley FC, is reportedly one of the names on a list of potential replacements. Other candidates also being considered include Mathew Ryan and Stefan Ortega from Nottingham Forest.

Dúbravka's contract expires on 30/06/2026, and he has made 31 appearances in the Premier League this season. The goalkeeper has 59 caps for Slovakia and a current market value of €750k, according to Transfermarkt.
