Celtic and West Ham are among the sides said to be interested in signing 23-year-old AZ striker Troy Parrott after his performances for the Republic of Ireland, in which he scored five times in two games. Everton and Leeds are also understood to be monitoring the situation, but the clubs' January transfer plans may be affected.
Parrott insisted he was not considering a mid-season move, stating that he is progressing well, enjoys playing for AZ, and is fully focused on the team's goals for the current season. It is thought that AZ would likely demand a fee greater than the player's €18.3m estimated value, with some suggestions that a record sale of around €25m would be required for them to consider his departure. Parrott's former club, Tottenham, are also believed to have a sell-on clause. The Irish international joined AZ in July 2024 and has scored 7 goals in 8 league appearances this season.
